Where to have an email account for FREE
We need to communicate with each other one way or another and what better way than via email. There are many services these days that provide email. Many internet service providers provider their customers with freem email accounts but are sometimes hard to logon to and not simple to use. The internet has many sites that offer FREE email services and some are filled with lots of extra features....features that will need to be mentioned in other hubs.
1. GMAIL www.gmail.com
Google gmail is full of options and straightforward to use. Calendar, reminders, folders, and contacts are all standard offerings. Email storage space is quite large, almost unlimited as well. Filters can be set to route your emails to particular folders.
2. YAHOO MAIL mail.yahoo.com
Clearly a direct competitor with gmail. Lots of the same features. Spam and junk mail control is good. Storage place is great. The web interface is definitely user friendly.
3. HOTMAIL www.hotmail.com
A little bit too much advertising on the side bars. Google gmail doesn't have this. junk and spam filters exist but aren't as robust as they should be and sometimes send 'good' email to the spam folder.
4. AOL MAIL www.aol.com
AOL mail has been around a long time. The web interface and setup is extremely easy and quick. the captchas are not nearly as difficult as google's.
5. LYCOS mail.lycos.com
5GB storage. This email site has great email spam filtering. It also actively checks for viruses. If you don't like advertising in your email site then this is the choice for you.
6. ZOHO zohomail.com
Zoho mail is for business and professional users. Another great email site with no advertisements. You get great email organization with folders on this site. Spam filtering is extensive with this site. Mobile email integration for your windows mobile or Blackberry.
7. INBOX www.inbox.com
Another great email service with plenty of storage available for large files at 5GB. Very clean interface with a search feature for finding that long lost or buried email in your overflowing inbox.
8. GAWAB www.gawab.com
Twice the storage capacity of most FREE email services at 10GB Very user friendly interface on this email service. Gawab's spam filter is sub par.....but it does have good email filter options.
9. GMX www.gmx.com
5GB of storage available with GMX. Another excellent interface with easy to use options. Calendar and online storage are included with gmx accounts. Folders and filter are included in this easy to use graphical web email interface.
10. EXCITE mail.excite.com
Similar to yahoo mail with simple to use interface for a basic online email account. Filters and folders are available with a free personalized home page included. Ties in with excite games to help pass by those dull moments....
Please keep in mind that all of these email sites are FREE to signup and use! I hope you will explore several of them before deciding which one will truly benefit your emailing style and preferences.

Nice list, gmail is my fav so far. I've also just signedup for a mail.com account and so they're good as well, and I like the fact that you can have different professional extensions to match your business or personality.
